Announcement:

It is with mixed feelings that we announce that after 12 years, Mari Fernandez will be leaving Rutherford Massage Therapy Clinic on June 24, 2021. She was a most valued member of our team and we will miss her tremendously. We, and I am sure her clients, are sad to see her go but are excited that she will be able to experience new adventures in her new province and will be welcomed by new people and new clients!

Mari’s studies in Massage Therapy were influenced by her keen interest in human anatomy and pathology. Having graduated in 2009 from Centennial College, her clinical experiences include pre-natal treatments, sports massage, palliative care and working with clients of all age groups. Mari incorporates Swedish Massage, Myofascial techniques and therapeutic exercises for an effective treatment plan. Over the years, she has expanded her knowledge and interest in deep tissue massage, positional release therapy, kinesiology taping, and acupressure. Mari enjoys treating sports-related and chronic repetitive strain conditions, while promoting the importance of relaxation treatments to decrease the effects of stress on the body and enhance overall well-being. In her spare time, Mari enjoys recreational cycling, yoga, swimming and hiking.
